How PIN London Limited collects, uses and protects your personal information, written in plain English.
Last updated: 7 October 2026
In short
- We collect the details you give us, and owners' names and addresses from public Land Registry records so we can write to them.
- We use them only to talk to you about your property, a project, or sites and partnerships.
- We never sell your information.
- You can ask us to stop contacting you, or to see or delete your information, at any time.
1. Who we are
This website is run by PIN London Limited, a company registered in England and Wales (company number 08116247). Our registered office is Flat 73 Red Square, 3 Piano Lane, Carysfort Road, London N16 9AY. We are the "controller" of your personal information, which means we decide how it is used and are responsible for protecting it.
For any privacy question or request, email info@pinlondon.co.uk, call +44 7855 707346, or write to us at Unit 73 Red Square, 3 Piano Lane, Carysfort Road, London N16 9AY.
2. What we collect
Information you give us. When you fill in a form, email or call us, we collect what you share. This may include:
- your name, phone number and email address
- the address of your property and the reference from our letter
- what you'd like to do with your property, and anything else you tell us
- if you're an investor: your company, the type of investor you are, typical investment size, areas and interests
Information from public sources. To find sites with potential, we use maps, council planning registers and HM Land Registry. The Land Registry title register shows the owner's name and the address for correspondence. We use these to write to owners about their property. We don't buy marketing lists.
Information from our website. This website doesn't use cookies and doesn't store anything in your browser. Our hosting provider, Netlify, keeps standard technical logs (such as IP address and browser type) to keep the site running and secure. We also use these logs to count visits and see which pages are popular. This gives us totals only, and doesn't identify you.
3. How we use it, and why we're allowed to
Data protection law requires a lawful reason, called a "lawful basis", for each way we use personal information.
| What we do | Lawful basis |
|---|---|
| Write to property owners about their property's development potential | Legitimate interests: finding development opportunities and contacting owners about them by post |
| Reply to your enquiry, call you back and arrange site visits | Legitimate interests, or taking steps you've asked for before entering into an agreement |
| Prepare and manage option, purchase or partnership agreements, and run planning applications | Contract |
| Contact registered investors about sites and partnerships | Consent, which you can withdraw at any time |
| Keep business and tax records | Legal obligation |
| Run, secure and improve this website | Legitimate interests |
Where we rely on legitimate interests, we have balanced our interests against yours. You can object at any time (see your rights).
5. Transfers outside the UK
Netlify, which hosts this website and receives our forms, is based in the United States. It is certified under the UK Extension to the EU-US Data Privacy Framework, which the UK government has approved for transfers, and its contract with us also includes the UK's approved data transfer agreement. If any other provider stores information outside the UK, we make sure it is protected to the same standard.
6. How long we keep it
- Letters with no reply: owner details are deleted within 2 years of our last letter.
- Enquiries that don't go further: deleted within 2 years of our last contact.
- Investor registrations: kept until you unsubscribe, or 2 years after our last contact.
- Agreements and completed deals: kept as long as the law requires, usually 6 to 12 years after the agreement ends.
- If you ask us to stop contacting you: we keep only your name and address on a "do not contact" list, so that we don't write to you again.
7. Security
We keep your information on secure, access-controlled systems and limit access to the people who need it. No system is completely secure, but we take reasonable steps to protect your information and will tell you and the regulator if a serious breach happens.
8. Your rights
You have the right to:
- see the information we hold about you and get a copy
- correct anything that is wrong or incomplete
- delete your information, where we don't need to keep it
- restrict how we use it while a concern is looked at
- object to how we use it, including an absolute right to stop us contacting you about opportunities
- move information you gave us to another organisation
- withdraw consent at any time, where we rely on it
Contact us using the details in section 1. It's free, and we will reply within one month.
9. Don't want to hear from us?
If you received a letter and would rather we didn't write again, email info@pinlondon.co.uk or call +44 7855 707346 with your property address (and the letter reference, if you have it). We will stop, and we won't contact you about that property again.
10. Complaints
If you're unhappy with how we've handled your information, you can complain to us. Email info@pinlondon.co.uk with "Data protection complaint" in the subject, call +44 7855 707346, or write to us at the address in section 1. We'll confirm we've received it within 30 days, look into it properly and keep you updated until it's resolved.
You can also complain to the UK's data protection regulator, the Information Commission (known as the ICO), at ico.org.uk or on 0303 123 1113.
11. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. The latest version will always be on this page, with the date it was last updated.
